I am also on a restricted budget and for the life of me, I can't think about what I used to be pondering in paying this much for this kind of limited set of knives. I even have, though, labored in numerous restaurants and realized the benefits of sharp knives. Also, I like to cook.
I have owned this set of knives for roughly 10 yrs now, and have used them virtually solely during that time. In truth, I do pretty so much the whole lot with just the chef's and utility knives. (Someone -- my son, my mom -- broke the tip off of the paring knife a couple of years again, though I have no idea who or how, as neither had come ahead to take duty, lol).
I completely LOVE these knives. The weight, stability, and subject matter of those knives are as just right as it gets -- each functionally and in comfort-in-use. Definitely the perfect knives I truly have ever had in my fingers. In 10 yrs, they've most effective begun to noticeably lose their area over the last couple 12 monthss.
