Reviews for Messermeister Meridian Elite - 8" Chef's Knife After 4 months of weekends handiest use (I maintain it at a cabin) this knife has given up sharpness to a degree that if I draw it throughout the reducing board it barely makes a scratch (bamboo board). I'm so disappointed! When it first arrived, it was once beautiful and sharp, and I figured I failed to want to take it for sharpening until 6 months had handed. Well, I will take it in, and I will update this assessment after that, however I used to be actually hoping it will closing a little bit longer between sharpenings! I'm purchasing these days for a santoku and a paring knife, and may now not be looking at this model.
